What to expect in your first 30 days at Coniq

Starting a new job could be stressful as there are so many questions to be answered: who am I meeting first, what my focus is until I become comfortable in the new environment, etc.

At Coniq, we know that first impressions matter, and we do our utmost to provide the best onboarding experience possible. If we are lucky to have you onboard, we promise that you will feel very welcomed from day one - and our employee survey data supports this statement, with 88% of our recent hires rating us five out of five for how high they felt welcomed after the first month with the company.

Our onboarding starts with the very first 'hello' with an applicant, but the official Coniqer's journey begins with a big 'YES', which is always delightful to hear (not that the first 'hello' is not!). We constantly communicate with the new Coniqers and bring them for team socials, whether it's a small gathering for our usual Friday drinks or one of our big celebrations.

Due to the current situation in the world, we are not always able to meet our new team members in person on their first day, but we have developed an effective communication process using remote tools. Either way, new Coniqers will be set for their start.

The most crucial aspect for us is getting to know our new colleagues. It starts with a quick intro in our weekly Monday All-hands meeting, followed by the regular teams' catch-ups and meetings. We encourage two-way communication across the company, so it is not only a new joiner learning about Coniq but us learning about them as individuals.

We support each other for as long as it takes for the new member to feel comfortable. And this is where the buddies enormously help. Having quick outings for lunch or a drink helps to build a relationship, and as I like to say, buddies are the people to go to with the most random questions, like "who is that guy with a beard" or "who do I ask for a different beer in a fridge".

We have built this process based on our experience and the feedback we have received so far. However, there are no boundaries for improvements, as we listen to our people to make Coniqers' journey flow.
